Traffic Operations into Drunk Driving offenders will continue next year.
This is the message from Director Traffic SSP Mahesh Mishra as the long weekend saw more than 10 people pleading guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol.
Four people, who arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol at various checkpoints around the country are expected to appear in court today while six people who pleaded guilty to drunk driving in the Suva Magistrates court yesterday, were fined $300 each and disqualified from driving for three months.
Two more pleaded guilty to drunk driving at the Nasinu Magistrates court yesterday.
