Officers from the Police Drug Unit raided a farm in Korovou village Navosa yesterday and uprooted 405 marijuana plants which had a street value of more than $400,000.
Assistant Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said they are searching for the owner, who is on the run.
The plants have been sent to the Koronivia Research Station for analysis.
In another incident police raided the house of a 25 year old man of Vatuwaqa and confiscated six parcels of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.
The dried leaves are valued to be around $11,000.
Police also recovered some cash during the raid.
He is in police custody.
