Officers from the Police Drug and the Ready Action Unit in Labasa raided a farm in Bulileka and uprooted marijuana plants and also confiscated more than 600 marijuana seedlings.
Assistant Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said the raid was conducted after a tip off and the farmer was also under surveillance.
The 45-year-old farmer is in police custody.
Some dried leaves were also confiscated from his house.
Police are awaiting the analysis report before deciding on the charges.
