The Saint-Giles hospital has recorded an increase in the number of people who are admitted in the hospital due to drug abuse.
Medical Superintendent Doctor Shish Narayan confirmed that figures from the last three years revealed that it has increased from 41 in 2006 to 76 last year.
According to Doctor Narayan, some people who have been seen by the doctors revealed that they used to drink alcohol and smoke marijuana heavily to overcome stress.
