A team of officers from the Drug Unit raided a farm in Tacirua yesterday and uprooted marijuana plants valued at more than $70,000.

Assistant Spokesperson Sergeant Atunaisa Sokomuri said officers raided the farm following a tip off, however no one has been arrested.

The plants confiscated have been sent to Koronivia for analysis.

Meanwhile, the Drug Unit has raided a number of farms and uprooted more than 41,648 marijuana plants with a street value of more than $850 million this year.

The plants uprooted are from all centres of Fiji with majority of them being uprooted from the highlands of Navosa.
