Police have to wait till Tuesday this week, after which they can be determined whether the white powder confiscated at the Nadi Airport on Friday morning was cocaine or not.

Divisional Crime Officer Western, ASP Vijay Singh confirms the powder has been kept at the Nadi Police station and will be sent to Koronovia Research Station on Tuesday.

Singh also confirms the 42-yr-old Indian National who was found in possession with the powder has been questioned and released.

However, all his travel documents have been taken away from him and he has been told to stay in contact with Police.

The Indian National arrived into the country from Bangalore and after checks at the Nadi Airport, Customs Officials found cocaine in his briefcase and alerted police, who then had taken him into custody and questioned him.
