National athletics rep Akesa Drotini won her second gold medal for Adi Cakobau School in the Triple N Zone meet this morning.

The Pacific Games star failed to break the record when she finished in first place in the Open Girls 3000 metres final with a time of 11.07.33 seconds.

ACS lead the girl’s medal tally with 15 gold, 14 silver and 5 bronze while Lelean Memorial School is in second place with 4 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze.

In the boy’s division, Lelean Memorial School leads with 12 gold, 7 silver and 4 bronze and Bhawani Dayal High is in second place with 2 gold and 4 silver.

Meanwhile, two Triple N records have been broken in the second day of competition so far. Orisi Tavui from Lelean Memorial School broke the record in the Senior Boys Triple Jump with a new record of 13.53 meters.

The second record was also broken in the field event. Adi Cakobau School’s Sereseini Savui set a new record in the Senior Girls Shotput final with a throw of 12.12 metres.

The Triple N Zone will end this afternoon at the Post Fiji stadium.
