Pacific Games 5,000 metres gold medalist, Akesa Drotini could be given the honours to light the cauldron at next week's Coca Cola Light Games.
The form 3 student of Adi Cakobau School was one of the stars during the 2007 Pacific Games in Samoa, when she ran barefoot to win the gold medal by beating some of top athletes from other countries.
Drotini also helped ACS win the Triple N zone this year, winning two gold medals in the 15, 00 metres and 3,000 metres finals.
Meanwhile Fiji Secondary Schools Athletics Secretary Vuli Waqa said they have been in touch with other top sports personalities to light the cauldron.
Waqa also confirmed that Sports Minister Filipe Bole will be the chief guest at the meet next week.
The Coca Cola Light Games will be held next Friday and Saturday at the National Sports Stadium.
