Local long distance running sensation, Akesa Drotini has promised fans back home that she will blitz the tracks when she takes part in the Pune Commonwealth Youth Games in India next month.
The 14 year old Wainibuka lass who is a form 3 student at ACS said that she has been training hard under the guidance of trainer Peter Wilson to try and repeat the winning performance that bagged gold for her in the SPG.
She said despite the setbacks faced in training she will do her best in India.
Fiji will be represented in Athletics with 8 athletes and they will be flying out of the country on the 7th of October.
