There could be a drop in the number of Athletes in this year's Coca Cola Games.
This is after a few schools like Navosa Central College, Holy Cross, Niusawa Secondary and Bucalevu, who used to send big number of athletes, won't be competing this year.
Coca Cola Games chief organiser Vuli Waqa said financial constraints and Cyclone Tomas has forced these school's to stay away from the finals.
However, Waqa said there are few new schools who have entered in the Games.
The 2010 Coca Cola Games torch relay started today from the Kalabu Fijian School and over the next nine days it will travel around Viti-Levu and Vanualevu Schools involving 129 runners and 56 schools.
The torch was today lit at the Coca Cola Factory by Torch relay sponsor Bank of South Pacific.
The Torch that was lit today and will travel around the country was used by Legendary Boxer Mohammad Ali in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, USA.
The Coca Cola Games will be held on 30th April and 1st may at the TFL National Stadium.
