Director Traffic SSP Mahesh Mishra said three people were arrested and taken to court yesterday for driving under the influence of alcohol adding that people are still taking law into their own hands.
Meanwhile, statistics show that 24 people lost their lives on our roads in the Western Division this year compared to other division.
The Statistics show that in the Southern Division elven people lost their lives in accident, four in the Eastern Division and seven in the Northern Division.
The road death toll stands at 46 compared to 66 last year.
