Police have warned drivers that there will be no drop policy on serious traffic offences from now onwards.

Director Traffic SP Mahesh Mishra said they have carried out enough awareness for drivers to drive safely and care for other road users.

He added it is now time to act on drivers who speed, jump red lights and drive carelessly.

He added many serious and fatal accidents have occurred were drivers lose control of their vehicles.

Mishra said they will no longer tolerate serious offences and charge drivers responsible.

He also said they will also advice Land Transport Authority to cancel driving licenses of these drivers.
