Police are urging drivers to take extra precaution while driving and to remember that pedestrians use the road as well.

This comes after a 47 year and a 32 year old of Wainibuku road were hit by a vehicle on Ratu Mara Road, yesterday morning.

According to Assistant Police Spokesman, Corporal Josaia Weicavu the two victims who were already involved in an accident, were waiting for Police on the Ratu Mara Island, when the car which was travelling towards Nausori failed to negotiate a bend while trying to avoid the vehicle up front, it swerved towards the island and hit the two victims.

Both the victims are admitted in to CWM Hospital.

Police investigations continue and the 30 year old driver is expected to be charged later, as police await the two victim's Doctor's report.
