The 25 year old truck driver whose ten wheeler truck was involved in a horrific road accident in Lomaloma, Savusavu, yesterday morning is expected to be questioned by police later today.

The driver also sustained injuries during the accident and is admitted at the Labasa Hospital.

The accident occurred when the digger that was placed on top of the 10 wheeler truck fell and smashed onto a vehicle that was following it.

A 27 year old man died instantly when the digger fell onto his company vehicle.

Three other passengers have been admitted at the Labasa Hospital with one confirmed as serious.

Police have already confirmed the digger was not properly secured.

Meanwhile, the Land Transport Authority is still waiting for a report from its officers from the northern division in relation to the accident.
