Police are questioning the driver of the vehicle that hit a class 6 student causing his death yesterday morning and failed to stop after the incident.
Director Traffic, SSP Mahesh Mishra said the driver was arrested with the assistance of an eye witnesses and the public. He also said that four teams were deployed in the Southern Eastern Division to search for the vehicle which was later located in the Suva area.
The post morterm of the 11 year old was conducted today and Police are expected to lay charges on the driver tonight.
The class 6 student of Tacirua Bhartiye School was crossing the road when a white utility vehicle with a green canopy hit him and failed to stop.
