The Fiji Military Forces has clarified that they took ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase's driver in for questioning yesterday because he is a member of the Territorial Forces.

Military spoke-person Lt Colonel Mosese Tiko-i-toga says the Army has the right to take in any soldiers for questioning at any time if they think that they are a threat to national security.

Lt Colonel Tikoitoga added that the driver is still employed by the Prime Minister's office and it is not right for him to be involved with the ousted PM.
