A 44-year-old driver of Navua is in Police custody following the death of a boy along the Nadi back road at 1pm today.
Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro said the suspect was heading to the Nadi Airport in a 10 seater van when he came across the boy who was allegedly riding his bike along the same road.
She said while the suspect was trying to overtake the boy he allegedly hit him causing the boy to be thrown of his bike whereby he died instantly.
Investigators are still at the scene of the accident.
