A 26 year old driver of Sawani died instantly after the metro-mix truck he was driving went off the road and tumbled twice in Logani, Tailevu, yesterday afternoon.
Divisional Traffic Officer Eastern, ASP Josefa Delailomaloma has confirmed that the driver was on his way to Korovou when he lost control of the truck at the Logani bend and went off the road.
According to police, the truck loaded with cement and stones tumbled twice and the deceased was trapped under the truck.
A villager informed police, however he died at the scene.
Police believe that the driver was speeding.
