A 40-year-old driver will appear at the Sigatoka Magistrates Court today charged in relation to the fatal road accident at Cuvu Top in Sigatoka on Saturday.
It is alleged that the man hit a mother and her daughter while they were waiting for transport.
This led to the death of the four year‑old girl.
The 40-year-old has been charged with one count of dangerous driving occasioning death, one count of driving a motor vehicle with an expired driver’s license and one count of contravening the third party policy.
The 26-year-old mother remains admitted at the Sigatoka hospital.
