Fiji's South Seas Drifters side was unsuccessful at the Darwin Sevens tournament last night after they lost out to URL Samurai in the semifinal.

The side earlier met Samurai in their pool games, but lost consistency in the semifinals.

The team had the likes of Kini Radaveta, Lemeki Duidomo, Paula Tiko and Daniele Tabuarua.

Borneo Eagles, a well coached side made up of players from New Zealand's provincial NPC competition, beat URL Samurai 36-21 in the finals to win the $65,000 prize money.

The Borneo Eagles team had Fijian Malakai Ravulo in the side.

Australia Sevens coach Michael O'Connor, who led the Aussie Spirit team which had all their Sevens players, said that the Darwin tournament was a great experience for his side as they prepare for the next IRB series in Wellington, New Zealand, on February 4th and 5th.
