The South Sea Drifters which is made up of Digicel Fiji 7s team squad members are in one of the toughest pools for this weekend’s Gold Coast 7s in Australia.

The Iliesa Tanivula coached side is in Pool A with Samoa Barbarians which has the services of most of their players that won the IRB 7s series, Taranaki Academy from New Zealand and Aussie Legends.

Samoa Barbarians is the most experienced team in the tournament with a number of national 7s rep in their side and are the favourites with Aussie Thunders and Emerging New Zealand coached by Gordon Tietjens.

The Drifters will be captained by Nasoni Roko with the likes of Timoci Vakadranu, Mala Kuribau and Api Ratuniyarawa in the team.

The Gold Coast 7s kicks off on Saturday afternoon.
