Employment opportunities will be made available by the China Railway Group Limited when dredging works kicks off at the Rewa river in a month’s time.
Agriculture Permanent Secretary, Colonel Mason Smith said with the inclusion of locals they will be able to interact and learn from the Asians who are experts in dredging.
Smith said the Ministry will see that the dredging operation will cover the Nadi and Ba rivers as well as the rivers in the North.
He added that ‘Hall Contractors’ from Australia have been awarded a contract to dredge the Nadi and Ba river.
