Interim Health Minister, Doctor Jona Senilagakali has opted not to comment on why there is a delay in solving 5 year old Shavneet Kumar's case.

He referred all queries to his Permanent Secretary, Doctor Lepani Waqatakirewa who said this morning that he is unaware of the latest development however will comment later today after getting information from his senior officials.

PSC Chairman Rishi Ram said this morning that he will try get to the bottom of the case to find out what's the delay.

He said he had given health authorities time until this week to submit post mortem results of Shavneet to PSC however he is surprised to hear that the case is now being handled by police.

According to Ram, the health authorities have now told him to wait for results of the tissue samples which will be sent overseas for analysis.

Shavneet was taken to CWM Hospital after he fractured his arm. Doctors then told the parents that they would operate on his arm to straighten it in early October. Shavneet went into a coma straight after the operation and died eight days later.
