Doctor Ganesh Chand has been appointed the Vice Chancellor for the Fiji National University.
Dr Chand appointment was confirmed by the FNU Transitory Council in their meeting today.
In making the announcement, Minister of Education Filipe Bole said that Dr Chand was selected above several other applicants because of his vast experience in education and his more recent experience in the management of an education institution.
Bole hopes that Dr Chand will be able to give FNU the necessary direction they need and also meet the government expectations and the challenges in modern Fiji.
