The team has been named but the big question is whether Fiji can defend the Hong Kong 7's title.
After a dismal performance in the recent outings of the World Sevens Series and the unavailability of some of the key players, there is doubt amongst rugby fans whether the current team can deliver.
Only three players of the current team have played before at happy valley who are captain, Nemani Nagusa, Osea Kolinisau and Ilai Tinai.
The other nine will face the So Kon Po crowd for the first time.
But, new captain, Nemani Nagusa said the young players have proved their worth in training.
The Hong Kong 7s starts next Friday with Fiji taking on Hong Kong at 9.06pm.
On Saturday Fiji will meet Spain at 2.06pm and their last pool match is against Canada at 10.54pm.
