NZ Foreign Minister Murray McCulley has revealed that NZ will keep the doors open for dialogue with Fiji when there is a plan for progress towards elections.
McCulley said although the Fiji government has been suspended from the Pacific Islands Forum it is not the end of the road for Fiji.
Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama had earlier said he is ready to meet with the New Zealand and Australian Prime Ministers if they are willing to listen to his explanation for not holding elections.
Commodore Bainimarama told Sky News that he is ready to face off with John Key and Kevin Rudd.
Commodore Bainimarama also revealed that a timetable to hold elections in 2014 is expected to be set within the next few weeks.
