“Don’t waste your time, Mick Beddoes.”

Those are the words of Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama as Beddoes coordinates the signing of a petition against the draft constitution.

Commodore Bainimarama said he will only say to Beddoes that he should not waste his time on this.

Beddoes has told Fijivillage that the United Front for a Democratic Fiji which is made up of three political parties is yet to present its petition against the draft constitution as they are still working on gathering signatures.

We questioned Beddoes when the petition will be submitted.

Fijivillage also asked him whether the United Front is facing difficulties in gathering signatures which could also result in them handing in their petition to the government after the new constitution is announced.

We asked whether this would be effective after the new constitution is announced.

The three parties which are part of the United Front are the Social Democratic Liberal Party, the Fiji Labour Party and the National Federation Party.
