The World Wildlife Fund is asking members of the public not to interfere or kill any turtles that they sight along Wailoaloa beach.
WWF Director Marine Species, Penina Solomona said they tagged a female Green turtle, named "Lady Na Kalou", two weeks ago to locate the Turtles breeding ground, however they have noted that she is now moving closer to land.
Solomona said this is an ongoing research as the Turtles are fast becoming an endangered species in Fiji and this research is very important.
In 2008, Cabinet had approved an extension on the Ban of killing any turtles until the year 2018.
