Prominent members of the business community have called on Commonwealth Special Envoy Sir Paul Reeves not to allow Fiji to be isolated from the international community.
The members of the Fiji Chamber of Commerce and Fiji Employers Federation met with the Commonwealth delegation in the last hour.
Chamber of Commerce President Swani Maharaj said they have urged the Commonwealth to remain engaged with Fiji.
Maharaj said they have also stressed that the Commonwealth must not be swayed by the stance taken against Fiji by Australia and New Zealand.
Fiji Employers Federation President Dixon Seeto said from the list of people meeting Sir Paul and his delegation, they will get a wide range of views from all sectors of the community on how the Commonwealth can assist Fiji.
Seeto said the delegation have also assured that they stand ready to help in the electoral processes in Fiji to help return the country to democratic rule.
Sir Paul and his delegation also met with former members of the Electoral Commission this morning and senior academics from the FIT and USP this afternoon.
