It’s that time of the year again when school children contemplate holiday jobs to make some pocket money during the second term school break.
However, due to the current economic climate and tough business environment, ECREA's Father Kevin Barr said things may be different this time around and is urging employers to try and accommodate these youngsters and not to exploit them.
Fr Barr said parents must negotiate a fair wage rate for their child depending on the kind of work they are assigned to do during the holidays.
Second term school holidays start next Monday.
