Don’t Waste Tax-Payers’ Money: Qarase
These are the words of Ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase referring to the recent overseas trips taken by a number of Interim Ministers.

The team will then visit Singapore where they will be joined by PSC Permanent Secretary, Rishi Ram.
The government delegation will have meetings and discussions with government officials there to learn more about public Service and public sector reforms. Meanwhile, the Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister’s office, Pramesh Chand when approached for a comment following Pramod Rae's remarks, only said that the Interim Prime Minister has made his stance clear on the Dubai trip. The team returns on 2nd of next month.

Those were the words of Fiji Visitors Bureau Chairman, Patric Wong who was reacting to comments by NFP General Secretary, Pramod Rae who has said that nothing was gained out of the Tourism trip to Dubai by former interim Tourism Minister, Benedetti Ganilau last year and is just waste of taxpayers funds.
Wong said Bureau was consulted before interim ministers went on their trip to Dubai.
