Save the Children Fiji has come out strongly today calling on certain organisations not to use children to collect money in the main streets of Suva.

Fijivillage News has noticed young boys walking around with cans and asking money from motorists near the traffic lights near FIT Samabula over the past few weeks.

We are still trying to get confirmation on who the boys are representing but they are telling people that they are collecting money for their church.

The Chief Executive for Save the Children, Chandra Shekhar said such practices are life-threatening and should not be conducted by children.
