The commitment not to drink and drive must begin at home.
These are the words of the Director of the National Road Safety Council Akapusi Tuifagalele calling on parents to lead by example and show their children that it is wrong to drink and drive.
Tuifagalele said many families have been affected and children suffer due to the carelessness of drunk drivers. He added with the festive season and new year upon us, he is urging everyone to abide by the law and not to drink and drive.

In 2006 sixteen people were victims to drunk driving, while in 2007 ten people lost their lives to drunk related accidents.
The 2008 Operation Breathalizer campaign was launched on Friday by the Police, LTA and National Road Safety Council.
