The Head-teachers Association confirms that overseas donors have been approached to assist students in rural schools who are facing financial difficulties.
President Vijay Kumar Sharma said the Education Ministry has also assisted some primary school students, however, the economic situation and the expiry of land leases are making the matters worse mostly for rural students.
Sharma confirms the Interim Education Minister Netani Sukanaivalu has advised them to be lenient and give parents more time to clear off the school expenses.
