As DISMAC is on the verge of completing detailed assessments of the destruction caused by Cyclone Tomas, donations and aid from overseas continues to pour in.
DISMAC said the French Aircraft Casa is expected to arrive at Nausori Airport this morning carrying 2.6tonnes of relief supplies donated by the New Caledonia Red Cross.
Preparations are also being made for the arrival of a French naval frigate, which is generously being supplied by the French Government to assist in relief efforts in the Northern and Eastern Division.
DISMAC=s Acting Director Pajiliai Dobui said they are working to compile and submit a list of needs for funding from donors with rehabilitation expected to start within the next few weeks.
The total estimated damage costs incurred in various sectors stands at $67million dollars.
