A domestic dispute has resulted in a man dying in a fire at Field 28 in Rarawai Housing settlement in Ba this morning.
The National Fire Authority said initial investigations suggest that the 62 year old man who died inside the burning house allegedly set fire to the house and chased his wife outside.
The fire tender arrived at the scene just after 9am and saw the three bedroom concrete house engulfed in flames.
The fire could have also spread to six other houses.
The house fire has increased the number of property fires to 27 and two people have lost their lives so far this year.
