Police are raising serious concerns with the increased number of domestic violence cases, one of which has led to the death of a woman.
Police Spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri said a 30-year-old man from Tunuloa, Cakaudrove will appear in the Savusavu Magistrate Court charged with 1 count of murder after he allegedly beat his 28-year-old wife to death on Sunday night.
Sokomuri said post mortem revealed that she had a fractured skull and ruptured liver.
He also revealed that another woman is now in hospital after a domestic incident yesterday in Korovou, Tailevu.
