Veteran Keni Doidoi successfully slotted in a spot kick to help the Lautoka side escape defeat and settle for a 1-1 draw with Nadi during the Fiji Sun/Weet Bix National Football League last night at Churchill Park.

It came down to Doidoi whose 75th minute spot kick brought the Blues back on terms as Nadi had taken an early lead.

Viliame Toma early on fired up the Nadi side as he scored minutes before halftime.

The tie sees Lautoka drop crucial points on the National Soccer League standings.

Labasa now leads the race with 15 points while following the draw, Lautoka at the moment settles in second place, two points behind.
