Police have arrested and charged two men of Lautoka for allegedly stealing two water pumps earlier this week.

Media Officer Western, Inspector, Ranga Sami Gounder says 20 year old uemployed Aisake Valesu of Simla, Lautoka allegedly stole the pumps worth over 1,500 and was transporting the pumps in the 23 year old driver, Pita Jame's carrier to look for a buyer when they were caught. The pumps have been kept at the Lautoka police station.

Inspector Gounder says there may be a market for these pumps as three similar incidents occured last year.

Both appeared in Lautoka magistrates court yesterday and pleaded guilty and magistrate John Rabuku released both on bail as they were first offenders and they will be sentenced next Tuesday.
