Fiji's only land line telephone service provider, Telecom Fiji Limited is appealing to members of the public not to wait until the last minute to register under the Telephone Services Decree.
TFL Manager Marketing & Public Relations, Vanessa Kilner said that while they have seen a huge turnout in registration at their main centres around the country, people are still taking their time to register.
Kilner stressed that the Company is doing their part sending their people out and the onus now lies on their customers to register.
She added that the only problem they are facing is with the business houses.
Meanwhile, Digicel Fiji said that their users have until August 21st to register under the Telephone Services Decree.
Digicel Fiji Director Marketing, Niamh Byrne said this is in accordance to the decree, which came into effect on July 21st.
Under the Compulsory Telephone Registration Decree, a thirty day time frame has been given for registration after which penalties will be imposed on the service provider and the telephone owner.
