If you intend to use candles or diyas during Earth Hour tonight, please do not leave these unattended.
This is the message from Acting Chief Officer, Tupou Saubulinayau who said candles, diyas, tiki torches and bon fires left unattended can be very dangerous and even prove fatal.
He asks people to take care and put their fire safety first.
Earth Hour starts at 8.30 tonight and people all over the world, starting in Fiji, are expected to switch off their non-essential lights for an hour to conserve energy.
