The Tourism Minister said all the stakeholders in the tourism sector should not have huge mark-ups for their goods and services just because the Fiji dollar is weaker than the Australian, NZ or US dollars.
Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said the prices need to be fair and competitive to ensure that Fiji remains an attractive destination.
Sayed-Khaiyum also said people should not be ripped off as the volume of the sale of the products will be affected.
Sayed-Khaiyum expects discussions on these issues in the Tourism Forum next month.
