The Shree Sanatan Dharam Pratinidhi Sabha Fiji believes Diwali is a national event now and celebrated by people of all races.
National President, Dewan Maharaj said for many Hindus prayers for Diwali will begin tomorrow, which will last four days.
He said the main day for Diwali will be on Friday.
Maharaj has called on Hindus around the country to do their Diwali prayer at 7pm on Friday.
He said it’s important that prayers are conducted on natural time and not on Daylight saving.
Meanwhile with just one day to go for Diwali celebrations, many are flocking in numbers to Suva for their Diwali shopping.
