Diwali will come a week before for many Hindus in the Central Division as the Sanatan Dharam Prathinidhi Sabha's Suva Branch has organised a Diwali Mela next week.

The Programs Coordinator Roneel Dave said the three day Mela or carnival starting from next Thursday has been organised in an effort to bring the society together.

He said people will be busy with their families during Diwali which is why they have decided to bring Diwali a week before so that families can come out in numbers and enjoy the various cultural programs and competitions.

The Diwali Mela will be held at the Shiv Temple Hall in Samabula.
