Navy divers and workers from the Public Works Department have managed to recover the body of the 23 year old FIT student of Nausori who died after falling in the Raralevu reservoir during a drinking party last night.
Deputy Director Police Operations SP Erami Raibe has confirmed that the deceased is originally from Raralevu but attends FIT in Nadi and was in his village to attend a wedding when they started drinking with friends.
According to Raibe, the group then planned to drink near the reservoir where the incident took place.
Police are in the process of taking statements of those who were drinking with the deceased.
A post mortem will be conducted soon.
