With the number of children affected by Hurricane Tomas expected to rise, and rations not expecting to last long, Save the Children Fiji is concerned that children=s education may be disrupted.

Chief Executive Chandra Shekar said with initial reports from affected areas in Cakaudrove alone showing more than 2,600 students being affected, they are expecting this number to increase significantly as assessment reports continue to be received from other parts of the Northern and Eastern Division.

Shekar said their main concern is to ensure that no student living in affected areas has their education disrupted.
