Forty years and new diseases have entered, that is why we will ensure the Notifiable Disease List is reviewed.
Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Health, Doctor Lepani Waqatakirewa said the public is bound by law to ensure that any disease that may be a threat to the public is reported.
This is after Cabinet a few weeks ago agreed to the request by the Interim Minister for Health, Doctor Jiko Luveni for a review to the list.
This will see that Health Authorities are notified and the persons affected separated and isolated from the general public or any other methods to ensure the disease is contained.
