The Crusaders Rugby Union is still working with relevant authorities to finalise the venue for the Crusaders and Hurricanes Super rugby match later this year.
Crusaders Hamish Riach told Fijivillage that this process is yet to be concluded.
Last year a group had agreed to underwrite the match, which is likely to be played at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
With AMI Stadium being used for the Under 20 Fifa World Cup in late May and June this year, the Crusaders are forced to look for an alternative venue.
The Crusaders have considered Nelson and Timaru but when a sponsor offered to back the game if it was shifted to Fiji, the Crusaders began discussing the concept with tournament officials.
The 2015 Super Rugby competition kicks off next month with the Crusaders taking on the Rebels.
