Residents and construction workers in an industrial area in Valelevu are in shock after the discovery of two bodies late yesterday in an apartment.
One of the construction company workers, Joeli said they were all in shock as they had earlier thought that the couple was still alive.
However, he said they were worried after the couple's car was stolen on New Year's Day.
Assistant Police Spokesperson Sergeant Suliano Tevita said the discovery was made at 5.30pm yesterday afternoon after neighbors complained of foul smell coming out of the couple's apartment.
According to Tevita the couple who were in a de-facto relationship and were running a Kura soap business were reported missing on 19th December last year.
The families thought that the two had gone overseas in relation to some business matters.
When police went to the apartment, the two bodies were found in the bathroom in a pool of dried blood.
A Police Forensic team is still at the scene conducting investigations and collecting samples for further tests.
A Post mortem is expected to be conducted later today.
