After successfully defending their Gold Coast Sevens title last week, the national team’s coaching staff will now be focusing on discipline before the second leg in Dubai next month.

The Digicel Fiji sevens team copped three yellow cards in Gold Coast last week.

Ilai Tinai was shown the yellow card in the quarterfinal and semifinal respectively while Apisalome Waqatabu was sent to the bin in the final.

Assistant coach Timoci Wainiqolo said this is one major area of concern for them before the next tournament.

Wainiqolo added the team will take a two week break before they return to camp on the 30th of this month.

Meanwhile, the national sevens team received a bonus payment of $66,778.20 from their sponsors Digicel today after retaining the Gold Coast sevens title last Sunday.
